IELTS is the world’s proven English test. Over 1.4 million candidates take the test each year to start their journeys into international education and employment. It is recognised by more than 6000 institutions in over 135 countries.
The IELTS (International English Language Testing System) is a test designed to evaluate the English language competency levels of international students wishing to study or work in an English-speaking environment. The exam tests each of four necessary language skills, Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking.
The whole course will consist of 8 lessons, every Monday and Tuesday; starting on Monday 6th September and continuing for 4 weeks. Lessons start at 9am and go on until 5:30pm. The total cost of 8 lessons is £250. See Krishna or Judy to enrol. This course is open to students not enrolled at SLC.
Health students are expected to have an IELTS score of 6 or over and some students may want a band 7 if intending to enrol on a course which is below degree level. If you wish to improve your IELTS level this course will prepare you for taking an IELTS exam and will improve your level considerably. You can take an IELTS exam in your own time after our course is completed. There are many exam centres where you can sit an IELTS exam when you feel ready. This course is open for students of all levels.
